Campaign link and parameters

The ad link is the address you put into an ad. It leads to the campaign entry point and carries the parameters by which Qubix attributes the click. The campaign assembles a ready example of the link for you right on the Settings tab.

  1. On the Settings tab, choose a Traffic source — without it the example link will not appear.
  2. Add an Entry point (a host, and a path if needed).
  3. Under the entry point Qubix will show the Example URL for an ad block with a ready link and a Copy button. «Example URL for an ad» block under the entry point

The link is assembled like this:

https://<host><path>?<source parameters>
  • The host and path are the campaign entry point. An empty path = the whole host; /promo — the /promo folder.
  • The parameters are a set of GET parameters defined by the selected traffic source (its list of parameters and their substitutions). That is why the same campaign with different sources gives different links.

Which parameters exactly are substituted and which macros the ad network fills them with — that is determined by the source. Their configuration is described in the Sources section and Parameter passing and postback.

Pixel and macros

In the example link some values are substituted automatically by the ad network — these are macros like {{ad.id}} for Facebook, {gclid} for Google and similar. The network will replace them with real values at the moment of the click; you do not need to enter anything by hand.

Separately — the pixel: in the example link the pixel value is presented as a clickable hint. Click it and choose the needed pixel from the list — it will be substituted into the link. The list is taken from your pixel registry.

note

Facebook adds the fbclid parameter to the link itself on click, so it is not shown in the example — you do not need to enter it.

Tip

Click Copy in the example block — the whole link will go to the clipboard, all that's left is to paste it into the ad.
