An uploaded website tracks itself
On which field do visitors abandon the form? Which button takes them to the offer, and which one do they just click? The answer is now in the website card: Qubix itself adds the tracking code to the pages of an uploaded website and collects the numbers on the Statistics tab.
This is automatic tracking for an uploaded website, with statistics in its card. An uploaded website has the Ereignisse verfolgen switch on from the start — it is off only for a website created with the Whitepage type — and its pages start counting visits, clicks, moves to the offer and form steps. The code is added at the moment the page goes out to the visitor, so the website's files stay exactly as you uploaded them. Which pages the tracking code isn't added to is covered below.
What you get
You see where the visitor got stuck. The Forms tab shows, for each form, how many times it was shown, how many times people started filling it in, how many times it was submitted and how many times it was abandoned — and the field where it is abandoned most often. Each of these numbers counts at most once per form per page load. The Watch sessions button next to the Abandoned number opens the list of those who abandoned the form, and from it — the session recording of a visitor whose session was recorded. Sessions are recorded while Sitzungen aufzeichnen is on for the website.
You see which buttons work. The On-page clicks tab shows clicks by page element: how many times an element was clicked, how many of those clicks led to the offer, and how many to other addresses. Next to it is the Heatmap: it is built from the website's recorded sessions.
LP CTR based on browser visits. The Page tab puts two numbers side by side: Page views (server) — how many times the server returned the page from campaign links, and Visits (browser) — how many times the page reported a visit from the browser. The gap between them is crawlers, ad blockers, JavaScript turned off, people who left before the page loaded, and the views the tracking code isn't added to. Visits with an offer click and LP CTR are counted from visits.
The whole website on one screen. The Statistics tab also has separate tabs for this website's ads, offers, networks, creatives, registrations, deposits and clicks. In the websites list, each card shows visits, visits with an offer click, spend and ROAS for the selected period. In the Audience section, clicks, registrations and deposits have a Website column and filter.
The tracking code stays off Whitepages. The tracking code isn't added to a Whitepage-type website or to a page a campaign shows as its Whitepage. Session recording is turned on separately: if it is on for such a website, its script is on the page, and an ad network's review will see it.
The tracking code looks at places, not at content. It doesn't read field values or button
text: an element is named by its place in the page markup, a form by its id or name. And in
session recordings, the values of input fields are now hidden.
How it works
A page opened from a campaign link sends the visit from the browser, and after that — clicks, the move to the offer (on a prelanding — going on to the store) and form steps. Registrations and deposits still arrive as the affiliate network's postback and attach to the same click. What exactly is counted and why a number can be zero — in the article Your landing's statistics.
Where the tracking code is not added
- to a Whitepage-type website;
- to a page a campaign shows as its Whitepage;
- to a page built by a website handler on the Backend tab;
- to a page without document markup — without a doctype declaration and without
<html>,<head>or<body>; - to a page whose
<head>carries the opt-out<meta name="sdk" content="off">; instead ofoff,disabledornowork too.
The last way lets you take any page of the website out of tracking.
Example: from an abandoned form to a session recording
For the last step, Sitzungen aufzeichnen must be on for the website.
- Open the website card → Statistics → Forms.
- Look at the Drop-off field column — this is the field where the form is abandoned most often.
- Next to the Abandoned number, click Watch sessions: the list of visitors who abandoned the form opens below — the time, the visitor and the field they left on.
- Click a visitor whose session was recorded — their card opens on the Aufzeichnung tab, and you see what happened on the page before they left.
Where to turn it on
Tracking for an uploaded website is already on: on uploaded websites, except Whitepage-type ones, the Ereignisse verfolgen switch is on — on new ones right away, on existing ones after the update. The switch is in the website card, next to the Sitzungen aufzeichnen switch; both are visible to anyone who is allowed to edit the website.
Session recording is turned on separately: on a new website the Sitzungen aufzeichnen switch is off, and without recording there are neither visitor recordings nor a heatmap. If you add the tracking code to your pages yourself, turn Ereignisse verfolgen off — how to connect your own code is covered in the section If you add the code yourself.
Now an uploaded website has statistics of its own — from the visit to the abandoned form, and with session recording on, you also see what the visitor did on the page.
