One landing, several sources
A campaign has exactly one traffic source. To buy traffic for one page — even the main page of a domain — from several platforms, create a campaign for each platform and put them all on the same entry point. Qubix then decides by each click which campaign the visit belongs to. The rules are the same for a website hosted in Qubix and for a website hosted elsewhere.
One campaign per platform on an entry point
An entry point — a domain and a path — holds one campaign per ad platform. The platform of a campaign is decided by the template of its source:
- a source made from the
facebooktemplate — Facebook; - from the Google Ads template — Google;
- from the TikTok template — TikTok;
- any other source is a platform of its own: two campaigns with two different sources of your own can share an entry point.
Two campaigns of one platform cannot share an entry point. In the editor the row of such an entry point is highlighted in yellow with the warning that the entry point is already taken, and the save is refused. A campaign saved without a source — before the source became required — holds its entry point alone.
Which campaign the visit belongs to
When several campaigns stand on the entry point, Qubix reads the click's address in this order:
- The
sourceparameter names the source of one of these campaigns — by the source's ID, or by its name when only one source here has that name. The visit belongs to that campaign. If the source renames the parameter in its पैरामीटर table, Qubix reads it under the new name. - The platform's click ID:
fbclid— the Facebook campaign;gclid,gbraidorwbraid— the Google campaign;ttclid— the TikTok campaign. - The Google campaign number: if the address has no click ID but has
gad_campaignid— the number of its campaign that Google adds to the link of every ad — the visit belongs to the Google campaign. - Any
sourcevalue — the campaign of a source of your own, if it is the only such campaign on the entry point. - A returning visitor without click marks stays with the campaign of this entry point he came through last time on this domain. On a website hosted elsewhere this step does not apply.
If none of this picks a campaign, the visit belongs to no campaign. On a website hosted in Qubix such a visitor sees the page of the campaign created first on this entry point. If he came without click marks, the cloaking of that campaign does not check its required GET parameters and unknown pixels; its other filters apply.
While a campaign stands alone on its entry point, it takes every visitor without click marks. Once a campaign of another platform is added to the same entry point, such visitors belong to no campaign.
A campaign alone on its entry point
All visits of the entry point go to it, with one exception: a click with the click ID of another platform — for example, gclid on an entry point with only a Facebook campaign. On a website hosted in Qubix such a visitor is served by that campaign, with its cloaking, but the visit belongs to no campaign. A campaign with a source of your own, or without a source, takes any click.
What follows for money and conversions
- A Facebook ad gets its traffic source only through a campaign with a Facebook source, a Google ad — only through a campaign with a Google source. The money of an ad that got no source this way stands in the Facebook: no tracker campaign or Google: no tracker campaign row of the source list — see Sources.
- Conversions go to Facebook by the event mapping of the source of the visit's campaign. A conversion whose visit belongs to no campaign with a source is not sent — see FB CAPI.
