QNote — notes
QNote is Qubix notes: light pages written with a block editor that live on Drive next to documents and spreadsheets. Drafts, memos, quick playbooks — things that do not need a full document.
How to create a note
- On the desktop, open the QNote program in the dock. A window opens with the बनाएँ button and the list of recent pages.
- Click बनाएँ — the page lands in the root of your Drive with the "Private" zone and opens right away.
The same ways as documents and spreadsheets: the "Create" menu in Drive and the card in the टूल्स section. The recent list shows all your pages of this type — including ones created earlier right in Drive.
There is nothing to save: what you write is saved as you go, and Cmd/Ctrl + S works too.
How the editor works
A note is assembled from blocks: paragraphs, headings, lists — a block editor with no menu bar, everything at hand right in the text. A note is meant for one author at a time: if a colleague is already editing the page, you open it read-only and see who holds it.
Discussion and history
A note has a whole-file discussion and a version history with a safe return — both open from the "⋮" menu in the page header, along with renaming.
Access and protection
A note is shared like any Drive file — with the full power of its access. The window is the शेयर करें button.
- By people — the दर्शक / टिप्पणीकार / संपादक roles on the page or on a whole folder; works across teams too. What you receive is on the मेरे साथ शेयर किया गया shelf.
- By link — a person without a Qubix account reads or comments on the page; a view-only link shows no discussion at all.
- A password and an expiry on the link — the password is entered once, changing it instantly cuts off everyone on the old one; the expiry closes access by itself — a day, a week, a month or your own date.
- A ban on downloading, copying and printing — by switches, separately for editors and for readers with commenters; for a guest on a link it follows their role.
- Inheritance and transfer — a page from a shared folder inherits its access; ownership transfers in one action.

There are no comments on a place in the text — only the whole-file discussion. There is no live co-editing — one person at a time. Notes have no file import or export.
